| Description: A download application that allows the user to program 32 bits of configuration information into SY87729L using the SY87729-EVAL circuit board. It consists of two components, the download module and calculation module.
If you are running WinNT, Win2000 or WinXP, you must download a shareware called "direct-io" that allows the SY87729L-EVAL application software to access the parallel ports at a low level. This "direct-io" shareware is available at: www.direct-io.com
| Part I: Chosing the right download module |
| First, you have to decide which parallel port or ports you will connect SY87729L-EVAL board to. Then you must chose one of the following application files to download. |
 739ev.exe a. "739ev.exe": Allows access to one of the two parallel ports on the PC. The default one is located at base I/O address 0x378 (a.k.a. LPT1)
and a secondary one located at base I/O address 0x278 (a.k.a LPT2). Download this file when you will access either LPT1, or both LPT1 and LPT2 |
| 739ev2.exe b. "739ev2.ext": Identical to application file "739ev.exe", except that it defaults to using LPT2 first. This is no use to the user when running Win95, Win98, or WinME. Download this file when you will access only LPT2. After downloading, please rename it to "739ev". |
| Part II: Download the calculation module: |
| 739ifier.exe "739ifier.exe": this module will automatically determine the optimal configuration parameters, based on three simple inputs. |
